About the e-Career Maps

This e-Career Map was created by the e-Career Map Project to provide internationally educated professionals in Ontario with accurate and up-to-date information, in clear language, about the licensing/certification process in their occupational field.

The project, which has now produced e-Career Map websites for internationally educated accountants, architects and teachers, was funded by the Access to Professions and Trades Unit of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU), in partnership with the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) and five professional regulatory bodies in the province: the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Certified General Accountants of Ontario, Certified Management Accountants of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Architects, and the Ontario College of Teachers.

This e-Career Map reflects a commitment by these organizations to improve both information and access to regulated professions for skilled newcomers to Ontario. It is our hope that by providing useful and comprehensive information on licensing requirements in various professions, the e-Career Maps will help internationally educated professionals determine their career paths and find employment in their chosen occupations.
