The Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC)
The Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC) was developed by the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA). You need to pass either the ExAC or the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) for licensure as an architect in Ontario.

National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB)
This is the Council that administers the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). The ARE is the only examination prepared by NCARB and is one of the examinations adopted by the Canadian provincial architectural associations for licensure.
